Zekelman Industries is seeking a Maintenance Fabricator for the 1st shift to repair and rebuild tube mill equipment. The role emphasizes electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, safety, and adherence to procedures while maximizing uptime and quality.

The job requires a strong mechanical/electrical background, 5+ years in heavy manufacturing, and teamwork to support continuous improvement initiatives within a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in heavy manufacturing maintenance.
• HS diploma or equivalent; trade training preferred.
• Proficient with hand/power tools and measuring devices.
• Familiar with electrical systems and PLCs.
• Able to pass drug screening.
• Good English communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on production equipment following safety procedures.
• Review blueprints and schematics to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Monitor parts inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Operate LOTO, ensure guards and safety devices are in place.
• Troubleshoot issues and escalate to supervision as required.
• Fabricate repair parts using shop tools.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment; comply with OSHA standards.
