Qualifications

• Completion of two years of college in civil engineering technology, pre-engineering or a job related technical/science curriculum plus five years of engineering experience; OR seven years of engineering experience.
• Strong oral and written communications skills; training others.
• Experience operating or managing a large fleet of trucks and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensures effective expenditures of budgetary funds for truck and major off road equipment repairs.
• Provides training for personnel on equipment operation and repairs.
• Provides appropriate solutions to technical equipment problems and uses diagnostic equipment to assess problems.
• Provides training and guidance in the safe use and maintenance of equipment.
• Guides on the utilization of department software/hardware for equipment repairs.
• Performs duties in compliance with safety rules and fair treatment of employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
