Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in Mainframe Storage Administration, Backup Management, or Infrastructure Support.
• Hands-on experience with IBM DS8910F storage systems and IBM TS7770 Virtual Tape Systems.
• Knowledge of DFSMShsm, DFSMS, and related z/OS storage concepts.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support IBM DS8910F storage systems in production and disaster recovery environments.
• Manage IBM TS7770 Virtual Tape Systems, tape libraries, and related backup infrastructure.
• Monitor storage capacity, utilization, performance, and availability to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Configure and manage storage allocation, provisioning, and performance optimization activities.
• Support storage replication solutions for data protection and disaster recovery requirements.
• Manage FCIP connectivity and storage network components for reliable data transmission.
• Perform storage and backup infrastructure upgrades, maintenance, and configuration changes.
• Execute and validate backup, restore, and recovery procedures for critical systems.
• Support disaster recovery testing and ensure recovery objectives are met.
• Troubleshoot storage, tape, replication, and backup incidents.
• Collaborate with z/OS, application, database, and infrastructure teams to meet operational needs.
• Monitor storage and backup environments using enterprise management and reporting tools.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, standards, and audit requirements.
