Job summary

Visa is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to oversee DPS Core Clearing and Settlement on IBM z/OS390. You will manage high-volume batch processing, directing 2nd/3rd line incident resolution and coordinating client implementations, while driving reliability and automation.

Based in Colorado (hybrid), you’ll mentor engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and guide strategic initiatives to keep mainframe processing secure and scalable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related; 10+ years of experience or advanced degree combinations meet basic qualifications.
• Extensive mainframe experience with batch processing and issue resolution.
• Experience collaborating with multiple teams and driving production stability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 2nd and 3rd level incident and problem resolution in Production and Development.
• Collaborate with application development teams on releases and maintenance.
• Lead client implementations on IBM z/OS390 platform for seamless integration.
• Drive proactive measures to ensure a stable production environment.
• Mentor team members and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.
• Lead testing and certification for new DPS software and integrations.
• Coordinate disaster recovery planning and business continuity activities.
