Job summary

U.S. Bank seeks a seasoned z/OS Systems Programmer to lead installation, upgrade, and maintenance of IBM z/OS across multiple Sysplex environments. You will troubleshoot complex issues, administer CICS, IMS, MQ, and Db2, and collaborate with storage, security, and capacity teams to ensure high availability.

Experience in RACF security, RMF, MainView, and DR testing is highly valued; 24x7 production support and on-call coverage apply, with a strong focus on disaster recovery and resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years in an IT environment.
• At least 10 years of experience with design, development and support of technology infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, configuration, maintenance, and lifecycle management of IBM z/OS across Sysplex environments.
• Develop and execute z/OS upgrades and maintenance using SMP/E.
• Troubleshoot complex z/OS system issues; provide root cause analysis.
• Administer mainframe subsystems including CICS, IMS, MQ, Db2; support DR planning and recovery.
• Collaborate with storage, security, networking, and capacity planning teams; maintain documentation.
