Job summary

M&T Bank Corporation seeks a Senior Mainframe Engineer in Wealth/Trust Services to help modernize and support our mainframe ecosystem. The role is hybrid with four days onsite in Wilmington, DE and one remote day per week, focusing on Trust Reporting systems and modernization efforts.

You will design, develop, and maintain batch processes, mentor junior developers, and collaborate with Architects to deliver scalable solutions while advancing DevOps practices on the mainframe.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher with experience in systems analysis or development.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant mainframe or systems work.
• Experience in Wealth/Trust or financial services a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain batch processes in mainframe environments.
• Work with JCL, JSCAN, EZTRIEVE, VSAM, TSO Utilities, CA7, AUTOMIC, FILEAID, XPEDITER, COBOL and ABEND-AID.
• Own delivery of features and enhancements within the Wealth/Trust platform.
• Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to DevOps and automation improvements for mainframe modernization.
