Job summary

M&T Bank in Wilmington, DE seeks a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Wealth/Trust to modernize our mainframe ecosystems and enhance TRS/WSE systems. This role is four days onsite with one day work-from-home per week, offering strong collaboration with Product Owners and Architects.

You will design and maintain batch processing, apply SDLC best practices, mentor junior developers, and help automate workflows across environments, delivering reliable, scalable solutions for wealth management.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree and minimum 5 years’ systems analysis and/or application development experience, or Bachelor’s degree and minimum 3 years’ experience.
Advanced proficiency in at least one relevant programming language.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain high quality solutions and batch processes
Own delivery of features and enhancements within the Wealth Trust platform
Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews
Collaborate with Product Owners/Architects to translate requirements into technical solutions
Ensure SDLC alignment and deployment process adherence
Support workflow integration and operational performance
