Job summary

You will review designs, guide code reviews, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams, risk, audit, architecture, and operations to maintain production stability and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Expert in mainframe software engineering and application development.
• Experience with IBM z/OS, COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM, DB2 for z/OS, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, Easytrieve+.
• Experience with GitLab for source control, change management, and CI/CD.
• Experience with mainframe debugging tools such as File-AID, Abend-AID, Xpediter, InterTest.
• Experience with batch scheduling tools CA7, Control‑M, MQ.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coach team members while working independently on mainframe applications within SDLC processes.
• Lead design, development, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of mainframe applications across batch and online processing.
• Own technical decisions and delivery quality for assigned mainframe platforms and initiatives.
• Review designs, pull requests, and deployment readiness; ensure change management is followed.
• Design processes for peer review and coach others on code reviews, secure development, and performance.
