Job summary

BNY Senior Vice President – Mainframe Infrastructure Engineer is sought to lead engineering, support, stability, resiliency, and modernization of a large-scale IBM mainframe environment in New York, NY or Jersey City, NJ. The role requires deep technical expertise, strong operational leadership, and collaboration across architecture, cybersecurity, and application support teams.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of infrastructure engineering experience in large enterprise environments.
• 8+ years hands-on IBM Mainframe engineering and support experience.
• Experience in 24x7 mission-critical production environments and complex incident management.
• Experience in regulated financial services or similarly complex industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level engineering and operational leadership for IBM Mainframe infrastructure.
• Maintain platform stability, availability, performance, and resiliency across production and non-production environments.
• Lead system software upgrades, maintenance, and lifecycle management activities.
• Perform complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis for infrastructure issues; lead recovery during major outages.
