Job summary

Staffing Spot, Inc. is seeking an experienced Mainframe Technical Specialist to design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise mainframe applications on IBM z/OS. You will work with COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and related technologies in a production environment.

You will analyze requirements, troubleshoot incidents, perform deployments, and collaborate with DBAs, infrastructure teams, and developers while upholding coding standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong IBM z/OS mainframe experience.
• Hands-on COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM.
• Knowledge of IBM utilities and batch/online processing.
• Experience with source-control and deployment tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications on IBM z/OS platforms.
• Develop and support applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and related technologies.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform application development, debugging, testing, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Monitor performance and optimize batch/online processing.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, database, and production support teams.
