Job summary

Ampstek is seeking a Mainframe Developer with AI experience for a long-term contract in the United States. You will participate in requirements analysis, design, and maintenance of mainframe components across batch and online processing, ensuring compliance with standards and client expectations.

The role demands hands-on expertise in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and CICS, with ability to guide a team and drive delivery. Knowledge of AI/Gen AI tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have strong Mainframe Enterprise COBOL and JCL.
• Expertise in VSAM, DB2 and CICS with hands-on experience.
• Ability to lead a team and drive delivery in a senior capacity.

Responsibilities

• Participate in requirements analysis and impact assessment for enhancements, defects, modernization or regulatory changes.
• Design, develop, enhance and maintain application components on the mainframe ensuring compliance with standards.
• Perform analysis, coding, unit testing and documentation for batch programs, online transactions and interfaces.
