Job summary

Saksoft is seeking a Mainframe Developer with AI/GenAI experience in Berkeley Heights, NJ, onsite. The role runs for 6 months and requires senior-level expertise on the mainframe platform.

You will participate in requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and production support, driving incidents to resolution and collaborating with the team to meet client standards.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Mainframe COBOL and JCL.
• Hands-on with VSAM, DB2 and CICS.
• Senior resource able to drive and set up the team.

Responsibilities

• Analyse requirements and assess impact for enhancements, defects, modernization or regulatory changes.
• Design, develop, enhance and maintain mainframe components per client standards.
• Perform analysis, coding, unit testing, and documentation for batch, online, and interface programs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and defects.
• Support system, integration, and UAT testing with fixes and data validation.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, release planning, and operational readiness activities.

Job Description

Participate in requirements analysis and impact assessment for enhancements defect fixes modernization or regulatory changes

Design develops enhance and maintain application components using standard mainframe technologies ensuring alignment with client''s approved coding security and architectural standards

Perform analysis coding unit testing and documentation for batch programs online transactions and interfaces running on the mainframe platform

Analyze troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and defects

Support system testing integration testing and user acceptance testing UAT by providing defect fixes data corrections and validation support

Participate in code reviews design reviews release planning and operational readiness activities.

Must Have Skills

Very strong on Mainframe Enterprise Cobol, JCL.

Handson and an expert in VSAM, DB2 and CICS.

Clients are looking for hands-on and senior resources with expertise who can set up and drive the team.
