Job summary

Envision Technology Solutions in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer for a long-term on-site contract. You will participate in requirements analysis, design and maintain mainframe components, and support testing and production incident resolution.

We require expertise in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and CICS, with hands-on senior capability. AI/GenAI experience is a plus, and you'll drive technical standards and teamwork on critical systems.

Qualifications

Strong experience with Mainframe Enterprise COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2 and CICS.
Hands-on senior resources who can set up and drive the team.

Responsibilities

Participate in requirements analysis and impact assessment for enhancements, defects fixes, modernization or regulatory changes.
Design, develop, enhance and maintain application components using mainframe technologies per client standards.
Perform analysis, coding, unit testing, and documentation for batch programs, online transactions and interfaces.
Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and defects.
Support system testing, integration testing and UAT with defect fixes and data validation.
Participate in code reviews, design reviews, release planning and operational readiness.
AI/GenAI exp, if you have work or learning knowledge any AI tools.
