Job summary

CAI is seeking a motivated Mainframe Developer in New Jersey to join our hybrid team. Bring 5+ years of COBOL coding, IBM OS/JCL (MVS), CICS, and DB2 experience to deliver reliable mainframe solutions on-site two days per week.

You will analyze requirements, develop and test applications, maintain technical documentation, and support modernization efforts with cross-functional partners. A Bachelor's degree and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT and application development experience.
• 5+ years COBOL coding, testing and debugging.
• 5+ years IBM OS/JCL (MVS) experience.
• 5+ years CICS development, testing and debugging.
• 5+ years IBM DB2 development, testing and debugging.
• 5+ years documenting technical and user guides.
• 5+ years usability testing and system testing with end users.
• 5+ years developing and supporting stored procedures.

Responsibilities

• Translate business and system requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop mainframe apps using COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL.
• Code, test, debug, and provide production support.
• Create and maintain program specs and docs.
• Perform unit tests and participate in system/UAT.
• Collaborate with users and teams to implement solutions.
• Support maintenance and enhancements of existing apps.
• Participate in database conversion and modernization.
• Work under IT Office Project Manager guidance.
