Job summary

Envision Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced mainframe specialist for a long-term on-site contract in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. The role requires hands-on expertise with COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2 and CICS, and the ability to lead a software delivery team driving complex batch and online processes.

The candidate will participate in requirements analysis, design, development, testing and production support, including incident resolution and UAT validation.

Qualifications

Experience with mainframe COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2 and CICS.
Hands-on senior resource capable of setting up and driving a team.
Familiarity with AI/Gen AI tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

Participate in requirements analysis and impact assessment for enhancements, defect fixes, modernization or regulatory changes.
Design, develop, enhance and maintain application components using standard mainframe technologies, ensuring alignment with client standards.
Perform analysis, coding, unit testing and documentation for batch programs, online transactions and interfaces.
Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and defects.
Support system testing, integration testing and UAT with defect fixes and data validation.
Participate in code reviews, design reviews, release planning and operational readiness activities.
AI/GenAI exp, if you have work or learning knowledge any AI tools.
