Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical study.
• 5+ years of IT and application development experience.
• 5+ years of COBOL coding, testing, and debugging experience.
• 5+ years of IBM OS/JCL (MVS) experience.
• 5+ years of CICS development, testing, and debugging experience.
• 5+ years of IBM DB2 development, testing, and debugging experience.
• 5+ years of experience developing technical and user documentation.
• 5+ years of usability testing and system testing with end users.
• 5+ years of experience developing and supporting stored procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and modify mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL.
• Perform coding, testing, debugging, and production support activities.
• Create and maintain program specifications and documentation.
• Conduct unit tests and participate in system and user acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with business users and technical teams for successful implementations.
• Support maintenance and enhancement of existing applications.
• Assist in database conversion and modernization efforts as needed.
• Work under the direction of IT leadership and project management.
