Job summary

Dow in Orange, Texas, is seeking a Machinist to provide maintenance craft support for plants. You will operate lathes, drills, and other tools, measure parts, and ensure conformance to specifications.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least 5 years of manual machining experience, with overtime as needed and no visa sponsorship. You will work in a climate-controlled shop, follow safety protocols, and potentially run multiple machines independently.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of manual machining experience.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Must have current, valid US Driver’s License.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• No visa sponsorship is available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Select, align, and secure fixtures, tools, attachments, and materials on machines.
• Operate Lathe, drill press and various machine tools for progressive machining.
• Ability to operate a Boring Mill is a plus.
• Measure, examine, and test completed units for defects and conformance to specs.
• Detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust controls accordingly.
• Quality assurance and inspection of machinery and parts.
• Maintain clean workspace and shop environment.
• Follow safety rules and wear PPE.
• Run multiple machines in the shop independently.
