Job summary

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Machinist at the Orange, Texas location within Sabine River Operations (SRO). Machinists provide maintenance craft support, maintain and repair equipment, and contribute to reliability improvements in the process area.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of machinist experience, with hands-on skills on lathes, boring mills, grinders and drill presses.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years military or machinist experience preferred.
• Experience with manual lathe, boring mill, grinders and drill presses required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and correct equipment problems.
• Select, align and secure fixtures and tools on machines.
• Operate lathe, drill press and machining tools for progressive machining.
• Calibrate and align equipment; perform preventative maintenance.
• Assist in planning, prioritizing and scheduling maintenance.
