Job summary

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Machinist at the Orange, Texas location within Sabine River Operations (SRO).

Machinists provide maintenance craft specific support to plants, maintain and repair equipment within craft knowledge, and may assist less experienced team members. Experience with a manual lathe and drill presses is required, and a valid US driver’s license is essential. This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and timely maintenance to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of relevant machining experience or military experience.
• Experience with a manual lathe, boring mill, grinders and industrial drill presses.
• Current, valid US driver's license and ability to work legally in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and corrects equipment problems.
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures and tools on machines.
• Operate lathe, drill press and various machine tools for progressive machining.
• Calibrates, aligns, and maintains equipment; performs preventative maintenance.
• Disassembles, cleans, and repairs components; documents findings.
• Supports planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance activities.
