Job summary

Parts ASAP is seeking a skilled Machinist to operate machine tools and produce precision metal parts for a variety of industries in a busy shop. You will read blueprints, set up machines, and ensure parts meet exact specifications with attention to quality and safety.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years as Machinist or Mechanical Assembler, a high school diploma, and a related two-year degree is preferred. Welding or electrical assembly experience is a plus in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent plus 3-5 years as Machinist or Mechanical Assembler.
  • Two-year degree in related vocational field preferred.
  • Experience welding and mechanical/electrical assemblies helpful.
  • Strong ability to read blueprints and mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machine tools (saws, lathes, milling machines, grinders) to produce metal parts.
  • Review blueprints or specifications and determine cuts.
  • Set up machines and adjust speeds, feeds, and tooling.
  • Monitor quality and ensure parts meet specs.
  • Maintain clean, safe work area and comply with ISO9001 if applicable.
  • Provide training to others as needed.
