• Basic measurement skills for length, width, height, and weight.
• Basic arithmetic skills for decimals and fractions.
• Basic computer proficiency and working knowledge of software applications.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Ability to make sound decisions based on knowledge, experience and judgment.

Responsibilities

• Operate advanced production machines to create precision parts.
• Review blueprints, work orders and tooling instructions to understand machining characteristics.
• Select materials and determine processing specifications and sequences.
• Align fixtures and secure tools and materials on machines.
• Set speeds, feeds and operation sequences for various materials.
• Machine or modify parts using lathes, milling machines and related tools.
• Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers and gauges.
• Complete work orders and documentation; restock material.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards.
