Job summary

TRAX International is seeking a skilled machinist to fabricate prototype and replacement parts for equipment and weapon systems. You will read blueprints, program CNC machines, and set up mills and lathes to tight tolerances using CAD/CAM tools.

The role emphasizes quality, safety, and teamwork in a high-demand environment. Proficiency with G-code and CAM software is required, along with the ability to work with precision measuring instruments and to adapt to varying workloads.

Qualifications

• Must read blueprints and multi-view drawings.
• Experience designing 3D parts using CAD software.
• Experience with CAM software to program CNC machines.
• Knowledge of G-code, GBR, STL, and STEP files.
• Ability to modify G-code for adjustments in CNC machining.
• Program, set-up and operate mills, lathes and plasma tables.
• Evaluate tooling needs for materials and machine setup.
• Operate with precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret complex drawings and specs.
• Program and operate CNC and manual machines.
• Set up tools, offsets, and machine parameters.
• Model cutting paths and program tool changers in CAM/CNC.
• Ensure part dimensions meet tolerances and quality standards.
• Provide feedback to customers and share progress with team.
• Maintain equipment, records, and safety compliance.
