Motion Industries, Inc. seeks an experienced machinist to set up, operate, and adjust a range of traditional and CNC machine tools including lathes, mills, shapers and grinders.

You will work from drawings to fabricate replacement parts and experimental components, solving non-routine problems with analytical thinking. The role requires strong skills in measuring with micrometers/calipers, template inspection, and CNC programming.

Formación

• Requires a high school diploma or GED with 5+ years of shop experience.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes and metalworking.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of measurement tools (micrometers, calipers) and tolerancing.
• Experience with milling on Acer and Proto Track knee mills; MIG/TIG welding.

Responsabilidades

• Machines parts to specifications using lathes, milling machines, shapers or grinders.
• Sets up and operates basic or specialized machine tools for precision machining operations.
• Measures, examines or tests completed units with micrometers, calipers, and other precision instruments.
• Monitors feeds and speeds; maintains machine tools in good condition.
• Reads drawings to determine methods and sequences of operations.
• Programs CNC machines and diagnoses tool malfunctions.
• Lays out, measures and assembles parts; installs or sets up equipment.
• Designs fixtures or tooling to meet engineering needs.
• Supports projects from planning through fabrication to inspection and testing.
