Job summary

Textron seeks an experienced Sr CNC Machinist for its Wilmington, MA prototype and precision manufacturing team. You will set up and program ProtoTRAK mills and CNC lathes, interpret complex drawings, and collaborate with engineers to produce high-quality parts.

You will inspect first articles, troubleshoot tooling, and document production activities while maintaining a safe, clean work area in a modern, quality-focused shop. The role offers paid training and opportunity for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience with ProtoTRAK, HAAS, or Mazatrol controls.
• G-code programming knowledge.
• Prototype, toolroom, or low-volume/high-mix machining experience.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and inspection techniques.
• 5 years of CNC machining experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate ProtoTRAK CNC mills and CNC lathes.
• Interpret blueprints, GD&T, CAD models, and process instructions.
• Perform tool setup, offsets, work holding, and machine adjustments.
• Inspect first articles and production parts using precision measuring equipment.
• Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues to improve efficiency and quality.
• Document production activities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
