RTX is seeking a skilled Machinist for its San Diego Depot Factory. The role focuses on performing advanced machining on mills and lathes, with responsibility for tooling, fixture fabrication, and prototype collaboration with design engineers.

You will read blueprints and GD&T, program CNC equipment, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances while maintaining safe working conditions in a fast-paced, high‑mix environment.

Qualificações

• HS diploma or GED or technical education with 6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with CNC programming and manual inspection gauges.
• Familiarity with GD&T and engineering drawings.

Responsabilidades

• Perform advanced machining on mills and lathes, determine methods and sequences.
• Design and fabricate custom tooling and fixtures when drawings are unavailable.
• Collaborate with engineers to bring prototypes from concept to part and repair machining as needed.
• Verify part quality using inspection tools and adhere to safety standards.
