Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum of five years machining experience required; accredited trade school diploma may substitute for two years of experience.
• Experience using basic hand tools and inspection equipment required.

Responsibilities

• Produce parts to specifications using machine shop equipment.
• Develop programs, setup sheets, and fixturing for precise operation of equipment.
• Set up, adjust, and operate CNC machines to fabricate parts and assemblies.
• Ensure fixtures, tools, and materials are secured and aligned on machines.
• Monitor speed and feed rates during machining processes.
• Layout, measure, and prepare stock for part manufacture.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to ensure proper fabrication.
• Fabricate, repair, and assemble plastic/metal parts with mechanical equipment.
• Operate hand and power tools to assemble subassemblies and products.
• Clean and lubricate machines and tools; maintain operations.
• Use inspection equipment to confirm parts meet drawings and requirements.
• Perform incoming inspection; provide feedback for process improvements.
• Draft and edit shop procedures; train personnel on equipment safety.
