Job summary

MSD in Rockville, MD is seeking a seasoned machinist to develop and operate fabrication methods with CNC and conventional equipment. You will program, set up, inspect, and maintain machines to produce parts per engineering drawings and support multiple teams across the facility.

The role requires at least five years of machining experience, proficiency with CNC mills, lathes, water jet, and inspection tools, plus knowledge of ISO standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; trade school diploma may substitute for experience.
• Minimum of five years machining experience.
• Experience using basic hand tools and inspection equipment.

Responsibilities

• Produce parts to specifications using machine shop equipment.
• Develop programs, setup sheets, and fixturing for precise operation.
• Set up and operate CNC machines to fabricate parts and assemblies.
• Inspect parts using standard measurement tools to ensure conformance.
• Provide feedback on machining process improvements and fixture design.
