Job summary

Core Systems, a California-based leader in rugged embedded systems, seeks a Senior Machinist/Programmer to program, set up and operate HAAS 3/4/5-axis machines and write MasterCam programs for precision parts.

You will read blueprints with GD&T, use precision gauges, develop fixtures, perform First Article Inspections, and mentor junior machinists in a fast-paced shop. 1st shift duties apply at this facility in Poway, CA.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10 years of experience as a Machinist/Programmer in a job shop environment.
• Experience with HAAS 3, 4, and 5-axis milling machines and horizontal HAAS with pallet pool.
• 1st shift Monday to Thursday 6AM–2:30PM and Friday 5AM–1:30PM.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints with GD&T precision.
• Operate and set up HAAS 3/4/5-axis machines.
• Develop and edit MasterCam programs.
• Identify cutting tools and fixture setups.
• Perform First Article Inspections and maintain SPC data.
• Mentor junior machinists and troubleshoot issues.
