Job summary

Space Machine & Engineering Corp. is seeking a skilled CNC Operator for 1st shift to set up, operate, and maintain CNC machinery in a precision manufacturing environment.

You will load/unload parts, verify dimensions with calipers and micrometers, and ensure parts meet quality specs while adhering to safety protocols. The role requires at least 2–3 years of HAAS CNC experience and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• HAAS CNC experience preferred; technical certification is a plus.
• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and gauges required.
• GD&T familiarity is a plus.
• Able to read and interpret drawings/blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines per orders and blueprints.
• Load/unload parts and fixtures safely.
• Verify dimensions with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Maintain lot integrity and organize work orders.
• Monitor coolant levels and tooling; perform basic maintenance.
• Review travelers and ensure all instructions are met.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety protocols.
• Communicate material, machine, or quality issues to supervisor.
