Job summary

Core Systems in California's Poway facility seeks a Sr. Machinist/Programmer to operate HAAS 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines, program setups, and produce precision parts. You will read blueprints, apply GD&T, and use CMMs and precision gauges to verify parts.

In this role you’ll write programs (Mastercam), mentor junior machinists, and perform First Article Inspections while maintaining a strong focus on quality and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of Machinist/Programmer experience in a job shop.
• Experience with HAAS 3, 4, and 5-axis milling machines and HAAS horizontal with pallet pool.
• Shift: Mon-Thu 6:00–14:30, Fri 5:00–13:30.
• High School diploma or equivalent; Cad Cam certificate; Associate degree or Certificate in Machine Technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and tolerances (GD&T).
• Operate and set up HAAS machines; load programs; adjust tools and offsets.
• Use precision gauges and CMM.
• Mentor junior machinists and troubleshoot problems.
• Prepare First Article Inspection reports.
