Job summary

Richardson Electronics, Ltd. in LaFox, Illinois, is seeking a skilled Senior Machinist to set up and operate manual and CNC machines, read blueprints, and ensure quality in a clean, team-focused environment.

This 2nd shift role offers $29-$31 per hour plus a 10% shift differential, dinner provided each night, climate-controlled facility, on-site fitness center, and strong long-term career opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2-8 years machining experience
• Experience with manual and CNC machine operation
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Responsibilities

• Set up fixtures in both manual and CNC machines
• Operate manual and CNC machines including lathes and milling machines
• Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and specifications
• Select tooling and determine feeds, speeds, and depth of cut
• Secure tooling and position workpieces in appropriate holding devices
• Load and run CNC programs
• Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges
• Inspect parts to ensure compliance with specifications and tolerances
• Complete required production and inspection documentation
• Maintain quality standards and support efficient production processes
