S&C Electric Company, a 100% employee-owned manufacturer, is hiring a Machinist – Basic in Palatine, IL. You will operate manual and CNC machines to fabricate parts from blueprints, perform setups, and document fabrication activities.

This role supports safety and quality while contributing to the company’s long-term career path for team members. The position offers a 3:30pm–12:00am shift, occasional overtime, and an hourly base pay of $22.25 with eligibility for an annual short-term

Qualifications

• Experience operating manual and CNC punching, cutting, forming machines or press brakes.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings
• Proficient with hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual and CNC machines to fabricate parts to specifications.
• Set up machines with required materials and tooling.
• Read blueprints and verify part dimensions throughout production.
• Perform routine maintenance and report issues to maintenance.
• Maintain accurate fabrication records and part traceability.
• Support safety and quality standards in daily work.
