Qualifications

• 3+ years of related machining experience.
• Hands-on setting up and operating CNC machines.
• Strong CNC lathe setup and operating experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
• Experience machining parts to close dimensional tolerances.
• Experience using precision measuring tools.
• Knowledge of machine-shop mathematics (trigonometry).
• Identify and respond to machining or equipment issues.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and other production equipment.
• Perform machine setups and run multiple machines as required.
• Install and adjust cutting tools based on material and operation.
• Adjust feeds, speeds and depth of cut to meet specs.
• Machining operations including cutting, drilling, reaming, forming.
• Read and follow blueprints, specs, route sheets and instructions.
• Align and secure workpieces using fixtures and methods.
• Identify problems and make machine adjustments as needed.
• Deburr machined parts and inspect for dimensional accuracy.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify parts.
• Perform SPC activities and maintain equipment cleanliness.
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Follow safety procedures and keep a clean work area.
