Richardson Electronics, Ltd. seeks a Senior Machinist I for the 2nd shift at our LaFox, IL facility. You will set up and operate manual and CNC machines to produce precise components.

Qualifications

• 2-8 years of machining experience required.
• Experience with manual and CNC machine operation.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up fixtures in both manual and CNC machines.
• Operate manual and CNC machines including lathes and milling machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and specifications.
• Select tooling and determine feeds, speeds, and depth of cut.
• Secure tooling and position workpieces in appropriate holding devices.
• Load and run CNC programs.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
• Inspect parts to ensure compliance with specifications and tolerances.
• Complete required production and inspection documentation.
• Maintain quality standards and support efficient production processes.
