Job summary

Atlas Gunworks in Mooresville, NC seeks a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead a CNC-focused production team and optimize workflow. You will coordinate schedules, allocate resources, monitor progress, and drive lean initiatives to improve efficiency and quality.

The role requires 5–10 years of supervisory experience in a CNC environment, strong knowledge of machining processes, GD&T, and ISO 9001 familiarity. A Bachelor’s in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in manufacturing engineering or closely related field.
• 5–10 years of supervisory or management experience in CNC machining manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5 GD&T interpretation.
• Prior machining experience and knowledge of machining processes.
• Lean manufacturing principles experience.
• Experience using MRP and related production systems.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Proven leadership and ability to motivate production staff.
• Ability to organize work and optimize resource use to meet delivery requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate production schedules and allocate resources to meet company goals.
• Lead a dynamic team including CNC machinists, assemblers, and office staff.
• Organize and supervise production workflows to drive efficiency and productivity.
• Assign daily work orders to production staff to optimize resources and equipment use.
• Oversee end-to-end supply chain activities from procurement to testing.
• Apply lean principles to minimize waste and improve efficiency.
• Plan, direct, and monitor production activities to ensure on-time delivery.
• Monitor quality, scrap, and maintenance to sustain high standards.
