Job summary

Search Masters is partnering with a premier organization to identify high-quality talent for a role supervising a team of 10–12 machinists in a US-based manufacturing facility. You will coach, assign tasks, and drive production output to meet goals.

The position requires strong CNC machining expertise, the ability to train staff, and a commitment to lean manufacturing and 5S standards. You will lead continuous improvement efforts and participate in production meetings to communicate expectations.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to train, mentor, and motivate machining staff in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong CNC machining experience and ability to serve as a technical resource for the production team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop a team of 10–12 machinists to achieve peak performance.
• Assign daily tasks, manage workflow schedules, and drive production output to meet established goals.
• Oversee and assist with complex setups, tool changes, and G-code or MasterCam programming edits.
• Ensure quality standards for finished parts and troubleshoot machining errors during first shift operations.
• Enforce shop safety rules and champion lean manufacturing and 5S cleanliness standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lead production meetings to communicate goals and expectations.
