Job summary

CompX National in Mauldin, SC is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead our CNC vertical and Swiss lathe operations. You will supervise machinists, coordinate schedules, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong CNC experience, blueprint reading and GD&T, plus proven supervisory skills and a continuous improvement mindset. Lean manufacturing exposure is a plus, and a high school diploma with technical training is preferred.

Qualifications

• CNC machining experience on vertical and Swiss machines.
• Proficient CNC programming, tooling selection, and process optimization.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T and interpret engineering specs.
• Experience supervising and training operators.
• Strong troubleshooting and continuous improvement mindset.
• Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
• High school diploma required; technical training/certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee CNC vertical and Swiss lathe departments and staff.
• Coordinate production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Troubleshoot machine, tooling and process issues.
• Lead preventive maintenance coordination.
• Review processes and drive improvements.
• Conduct performance evaluations and training.
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and company procedures.
