Job summary

BlueScope Buildings North America is seeking a skilled Machine Operator 3 to fabricate material using computer‑controlled equipment in a high‑volume manufacturing setting. You will read blueprints or diagrams, set up and operate robotic and semi‑automatic machines, and download programs to ensure on‑spec production.

Responsibilities include monitoring quality, performing first‑piece inspections, maintaining accurate reporting, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts while complying

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent or ACT WorkKeys at certified skill level
• 1 year of experience operating computer-controlled machines including robotic, automatic, or semi-automatic
• Preferred: Technical certificate or 6 months additional training in computer-controlled machine operation
• Preferred: 3 years of experience operating computer-controlled machines

Responsibilities

• Monitor quality of finished product during operation and adjust as needed
• Download or generate computer programs
• Set up and operate machines
• Maintain material reporting
• Use measuring tools for First Piece Inspection
• Contribute to continuous improvement and corrective actions
• Use lifting devices
• Perform housekeeping, 5-S, and related duties
