BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc. seeks a Machine Operator 2 to fabricate materials using a variety of machine types, interpret blueprints, and download computer programs to guide production.

The role emphasizes reading gauges, maintaining quality, and maximizing material efficiency in a manufacturing environment. The candidate will set up and operate equipment, monitor processes, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to safety and 5-S standards.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or equivalent, or ACT WorkKeys at certified profile.
• 6 months of experience operating computer-controlled equipment.
• Certificate from technical school or 6 additional months of relevant experience.
• 1 year of experience operating computer-controlled equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Observe machine to monitor quality and adjust as needed.
• Download or generate programs for proper operation.
• Set up and operate machines with proper tooling for current job.
• Maintain material reporting to maximize finished products with minimal waste.
• Perform First Piece Inspection and other quality checks.
• Participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities.
• Use lifting devices and mobile equipment to move materials/parts.
• Perform housekeeping and 5-S duties.
