Job summary

Swagelok in Solon, Ohio is hiring a Level III Machine Operator to produce fluid-system components in a clean, temperature-controlled facility. You will set up and run machines, troubleshoot, ensure quality, and document production; the role includes shift work on 6pm-6am with sign-on bonus and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 30 months of machining or manufacturing experience (or current Swagelok Level II qualification).
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and metal cutting equipment.
• Experience with machine setup, blueprint reading, and basic programming.
• Troubleshooting machining equipment.
• Knowledge of tooling in machining with ability to use form tools, shave tools, drills, reamers, thread rolling, cams, gears, and more.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments and quality inspection tools.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to independently diagnose and resolve machining issues.

Responsibilities

• Follow Swagelok’s production system (SPS) and shift handoff.
• Operate and changeover equipment per instructions.
• Follow quality plans and inspect parts with metrology tools.
• Monitor outputs; adjust tooling and settings as needed.
• Identify and resolve machining and process issues.
• Complete preventative maintenance.
• Coordinate repairs when needed.
• Document production activities.
• Suggest process improvements.
• Maintain clean, safe work area.
• Train and mentor less experienced operators.
