Job summary

Swagelok is hiring a machining operator in Ohio to set up and run CNC/manual machines safely, perform changeovers, and inspect parts to meet quality standards. You will handle routine maintenance, document processes, and report issues to supervisors.

The role emphasizes problem solving, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 30+ months of machining experience or Level 2 qualification, and strong knowledge of cutting processes

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• External: Minimum of 30 months of applicable machining experience.
• Internal: Must be fully qualified as a Level 2 Machine Operator
• Advanced knowledge about metal or plastic cutting processes and equipment
• Self-motivated and able to learn at a fast pace.
• Demonstrates proficient machining, communication, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machining equipment safely.
• Start-up, loading of raw material, and machine shutdown.
• Change tooling and fixtures per instructions.
• Complete records and forms.
• Inspect parts to quality standards.
• Clean chips from tooling and parts.
• Report malfunctions to supervisor.
• Set-up parts, process and machine as required.
• Perform daily/semi-annual/annual maintenance.
• Suggest process improvements.
