Swagelok in Northeast Ohio is seeking a Level 2 Machine Operator to perform precision machining on complex parts. You will set up tooling, run machines, inspect output to quality standards, and document results.

The role emphasizes problem solving, adherence to safety, and opportunities for process improvements within a collaborative team environment. Typical duties include start‑stop procedures, tool changes, routine maintenance, and timely reporting of issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 30 months of applicable machining experience.
• Must be fully qualified as a Level 2 Machine Operator.
• Advanced knowledge about metal or plastic cutting processes and equipment.
• Self-motivated and able to learn quickly.
• Proficient machining, communication, and troubleshooting.
• Operate machines and use inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, and gages.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machining equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform start‑stop procedures and material handling.
• Make simple and advanced tooling changes and set‑ups.
• Complete records and forms; visually and dimensionally inspect parts.
• Report machine malfunctions and part discrepancies to supervisor.
• Maintain tooling and perform routine machine maintenance.
