Caterpillar is seeking a Sr. Test & Validation Engineer (machine controls) in Peoria, IL. You will plan, execute, and report validation results across subsystems like Steering, Transmission, Braking, and Displays, while troubleshooting and supporting software development activities.

You will use CAT ET, CadetWin, and Vector CANape to validate and diagnose system behavior, collaborating with diverse teams to ensure safety, reliability, and performance.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in accredited Engineering or Computer Science or related fields.
• Ability to investigate machine software and controls related issues and determine root causes.
• Strong documentation and communication of technical observations and findings.

Mansioni

• Plan, execute, and report validation results for electronic/electrical system development.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical/electronic system issues on heavy equipment.
• Install, configure, and remove test hardware; support software development activities.
• Flash software and perform machine-level software validation and verification testing.
