Job summary

The Senior Microsoft 365 Architect at the University of Utah is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the institution’s Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

This role provides the architectural framework for M365 services, ensures alignment with business and security requirements, and leads the strategic evolution of collaboration, identity, security, analytics, and AI capabilities across the environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in area of specialty or equivalency and 6–7 years of related experience.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 services, governance, security, and analytics.
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and hybrid identity environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise M365 architecture roadmap aligned with institutional strategy.
• Oversee deployment, configuration, and lifecycle of M365 services.
• Lead implementation of Copilot, data governance, and AI features.
• Maintain security controls across Purview, Defender, and Entra ID; perform regular audits.
• Build Power BI dashboards for usage, licensing, and security posture.
