Job summary

Creighton University seeks a Senior Microsoft 365 Architect to own and operate the university's Microsoft 365 tenant. You will drive platform health, identity security, and governance, coordinating with infrastructure, security, and end-user engineering teams to align with evolving Microsoft capabilities.

Responsibilities include defining roadmaps, implementing a secure, well-governed environment, and leading integration with on-premises AD and third-party systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of eight years of experience in deploying and configuring Microsoft 365 in business setting.
• Advanced knowledge of identity and access management, including authentication methods and conditional access.
• Working knowledge of Azure services that underpin Microsoft 365.
• Familiarity with Microsoft roadmap, release cycles, and service evolution.

Responsibilities

• Platform Ownership: define and maintain a forward looking platform roadmap aligned with Microsoft best practices.
• Operational Management: ensure day-to-day health, stability, and performance of the Microsoft 365 platform.
• Engineering and Integration: plan and configure M365, integrate with on-premises AD and third-party systems.
• Support: provide Tier 3 support and resolve escalations.
• Governance: contribute to governance discussions and ensure security posture and forward-looking decisions.
