Job summary

The University of Utah is seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of its Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This role provides the architectural framework for M365 services, aligns with business and security requirements, and guides the evolution of collaboration, identity, security, analytics, and AI capabilities across the environment.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Microsoft 365 administration, Copilot, Purview, Defender, Entra ID,

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree in area of specialty or equivalent and 6–7 years of related experience.
Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 administration, Copilot, Purview, Defender, Entra ID, and M365 analytics.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain the enterprise M365 architecture roadmap aligned with institutional strategy.
Architect complex M365 solutions, integrations, and service enhancements.
Define and enforce governance policies for M365, Copilot, Purview, and Defender.
Apply TOGAF and Zachman frameworks to M365 planning.
Oversee deployment and lifecycle management of M365 services.
Lead implementation and governance of Microsoft Copilot and AI features.
Build Power BI dashboards for M365 usage, licensing, and security posture.
Partner with IT operations and security to align solutions with needs.
