Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking an experienced Manager on the Corporate Development team to lead inorganic growth through M&A, strategic investments, and market landscaping.

You will partner with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to source opportunities and drive deal execution end-to-end. You will develop competitive intelligence, shape product and company strategy, and build relationships across the crypto ecosystem to keep Coinbase at the forefront of emerging opportunities.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience in investment banking, top tier management consulting, corporate development, strategic finance, private equity, or venture capital.
• Proven track record of leading M&A or strategic investment transactions end-to-end, including financial modeling, due diligence, and deal structuring
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex market data into clear strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders
• BA/BS degree with deep intellectual curiosity for crypto, blockchain technology, and digital assets
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of mergers and acquisitions and strategic investments, including sourcing, financial analysis, due diligence coordination, and integration planning in partnership with senior team members
• Conduct market research and synthesize findings into strategic recommendations that shape company and product direction
• Develop competitive intelligence on key players, analyzing relative strengths and weaknesses and translating insights into actionable implications for Coinbase
• Partner with senior team members to cultivate cross-functional relationships with executives and drive high-priority strategic initiatives
• Build and maintain relationships with startups, investors, and industry participants to surface new opportunities and stay ahead of market developments
• Strengthen Corporate Development team operations by enhancing existing processes and contributing to recruiting and developing new team members
