Job summary

Amazon Inc. is seeking a senior accounting professional to lead the accounting and financial reporting of the company’s strategic investment portfolio. You will partner with Corporate Development, Legal, Tax, Finance, and technology teams to evaluate structures and ensure accurate reporting.

Responsibilities include overseeing complex transactions, close processes, disclosures, and audits, with a focus on scalable processes for a growing portfolio.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of finance or related analytical field experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA preferred and knowledge of COSO internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and nonstandard investment transactions; advise deal teams on financial reporting implications.
• Lead technical accounting analyses under US GAAP (ASC 321, 323, 815, 820).
• Own accounting and reporting for a portfolio of strategic investments through lifecycle.
• Partner with valuation, legal, tax, finance, policy, and tech teams.
• Lead month-end and quarter-end close activities with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support audits and external reporting; respond to auditor inquiries.
• Identify control and data-quality risks; design scalable solutions.
