Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC seeks an experienced M&A Accounting professional to lead complex transactions from deal evaluation through ongoing reporting. You will partner with Corporate Development, Legal, Tax, Finance, and technology teams to resolve technical accounting questions, establish processes, and ensure timely reporting.

The role is a senior individual contributor with strong cross-functional influence, owning the lifecycle of strategic investments from onboarding to exits and ongoing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• 5+ years of finance or related analytical experience.
• CPA experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and nonstandard investment transactions and advise on financial reporting.
• Lead technical accounting analyses under U.S. GAAP (ASC 321/323/815/820).
• Own accounting and reporting through transaction lifecycle and ongoing reporting.
• Partner with valuation specialists and internal stakeholders to assess fair value and disclosures.
• Lead month-end and quarter-end close activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Communicate accounting conclusions clearly to cross-functional teams and influence decisions.
• Identify control and data-quality risks across investment accounting lifecycle.
• Support audits and external reporting with well-documented analyses.
