Job summary

Searchability Aerospace & Defense is seeking a senior software engineer to design and develop integrated LVC simulation solutions supporting experiments, testing, and training of multi-agent autonomy software.

You will contribute across the full software lifecycle, including architecture, modern C++ and Python, scenario creation, systems integration, CI/CD, and cybersecurity compliance in defense environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern C++ and Python development.
• Experience with live, virtual, and constructive simulation.
• Knowledge of DIS, HLA, or DSEEP.
• Knowledge of DDS, ZeroMQ, Kafka, Redis, or Protobuf.
• Experience with defense simulation tools such as AFSIM, NGTS, or flight simulators.
• Experience developing within Linux environments.
• Experience using Docker.
• Master's degree or equivalent in computer science, software engineering, modeling and simulation, or a related discipline.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold or be eligible to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25%.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve live, virtual, and constructive simulation solutions used to evaluate and train Tactical AI and multi-agent autonomy systems.
• Build simulation scenarios, adapters, translators, and complex interfaces using modern C++ and Python; integrate internal, customer-owned, and third-party technologies.
• Research new simulation tools, conduct code reviews, debug integration issues, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and support security compliance.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, promote best practices, and ensure LVC integrations meet performance, scalability, interoperability, and security requirements.
